I was amused by the poster on page 54 of Launching the Imagination; "Do women have to be naked to get into the Met. Museum." "Less than 5% of the artists in the Modern Art sections are women, but 85% of the nudes are female." Surely this is faux incredulity from the Guerrilla Girls. Taken at face value, these stats would have been a resounding...duh! I mean...dude! The Girls have published several iterations of this same poster for other U.S. museums and cite similar statistics. Stewart describes the poster as a "witty image combined with jarring colors." I would have to agree.
