Lines, Lines, Everywhere a Line
Well…after reading the first part of Chapter 2 in Launching the Imagination, I couldn’t help but remember that old sixties song; Signs. However, with a little twist it goes something like this: lines, lines everywhere a line, blockin out the scenery, breakin my mind, do this don’t do that can’t you read the lines? Forgive me, I had to do it! It is good to know that there are rules, or should I say guidelines, to design. And, that there are so many categories of lines. Alberto Giacometti’s use of lines for his Annette looks like something you would doodle while sitting on the pooper. Stewart thought it suggested anxiety resulting from agitation. Sorry Alberto, so far I’m just a novice art appreciator. Perhaps there is hope for me though as I traverse the art world.
