Mary Stewart's six steps involved in convergent thinking reminded me of another popular author and speaker, Dale Carnegie. You know, the guy who wrote
The Power of Positive Thinking (among other popular works)? Dale however, narrowed problem solving down to three steps; 1) Define the problem, 2) Make a plan to solve the problem, and 3) Execute the plan. It appears to contain Mary's six but may be easier to remember. At any rate, each follow a linear thought pattern which is good for me, because...I'm linear!
